Survive, Today! - HAVE YOU SURVIVED TODAY?

So this was originally a blog about surviving weird situations. Then it became a blog about puppy mills or something... I don't know I wasn't in charge at that time. Then it was a conspiracy blog. Now it's a blog about travel, health, and technology. Deal with it.

Getting Your Expedite US Passport Renewal

Unlike when you apply for your passport for the first time, getting a passport renewal is actually quite painless and fairly simple compared to how it used to be. It takes far less time, and in some cases, you might not even have to leave your home. You may be eligible to renew your passport either online or by mail. There are some requirements that must be met before deciding if US passport renewal expedited is an option for you.

Mail Renewal

If you need your passport renewed quickly you should go online. There you can find a passport expedition service that will be able to get you what you need. Normally, it takes six weeks to get a passport renewed. However, with expedition services you can have your passport much faster than that. It will be more expensive, however, than getting a passport renewal the standard way.

Renewing Online

In order to be eligible for a passport renewal you must meet certain criteria. First, your current passport cannot be damaged in any way. Also, the passport cannot be more than 15 years old. Finally, you have to have had your first passport issued to you when you were 16 years old or older. If you do not meet any of these criteria you will have to apply for passport renewal by mail.

What To Mail

If you are going to go the mail route to get your passport renewed there are a few steps you must make sure to take. First you have to download and fill out all the proper forms from the internet. Once they are completed you package the forms in an envelope, along with your expired passports, a recent photograph, and your passport renewal fee, and send it off to the Department of State. Also, include any name or address changes you may have had since getting your last passport.

Expedited Renewal

If you plan on getting your pasport renewed with an expedited service you have a few options. First, you can go through the State Department. This takes about 2-3 weeks and requires $60 in additional passport fees. If you need your passport renewed even quicker than that you can visit expediters online. They can help you with the renewal process and get you your passport, in some cases, within 24 hours. This is a very convenient service that many people take advantage of. However, it is usually very expensive.
